9,986,000 Minutes
"Nine million, nine hundred eighty six thousand minutes, We actually sat down and did the math. Nine million, nine hundred eighty six thousand minutes. That's how many minutes that you've worked here."
Yeah, you're probably going to need some tissues
When I wrote my blog post about my 10 favorite episodes of The Office (go read it if you haven't), I was going to include Michael's Last Dundies in the list because it is definitely one of my favorite episodes, but as I was writing about it I realize that this episode deserved its own blog post; so let's cry and talk about it.
I did not watch The Office when it originally aired, I became a fan a few years after the show ended and I actually did not know that Michael left the show in season seven. So, it really caught me by surprise when I watched this episode and realize that Michael was actually leaving the show, and when I finally realized that this was basically part one of Michael's good bye from the show I honestly teared up a little. Michael was such a unique, funny and amazing character, that it hurt a little to see him go. After watching this amazing character for seven seasons it was really hard to see and accept that he was leaving. The tile of this is blog post is 9,986,000 minutes, that's the title of the song the office sang when they were saying good bye to Michael; probably the saddest moment of the office but also one of my of my favorite moments in the entire show (yes, I always tear up watching it.) The song is beautiful and sad but I love that it talks about some of the crazy, funny and memorable moments from Michael and his time at the office. I love this episode because even thought it's sad, I think it was a great way for viewers and the office to say good bye to to a the amazing Michael Scott.
